Owned by Mrs

Owned by Mrs. Julia Gandionco, the first Julie’s Bakeshop opened its doors on January 6, 1981, in Mandaue. The original Tita Julie or Ma’am Julie, as she prefers to be called, had been a canteen concessionaire since 1970. The bakeshop was intended to supply the bread needs of her canteen business. Julie’s Bakeshop has been baking delicious and affordable breads for Filipinos for almost four decades. Julie’s Bakeshop’s headquarters is located in Duljo-Fatima, Cebu. Julie’s Bakeshop generates $161.3K in revenue per employee. Ma’am Julie started her bakery business without baking experience. Because of her faith in God and the support of her husband, she was able to make it work. Three years later, Julie’s already had 10 branches all over Cebu. The first Julie’s branch outside Cebu opened in Iloilo in 1988. Branching out led to the secret to Julie’s rapid growth in the food business: Franchising. From there, Julie’s has been one of the most sought-after food franchising not just in Cebu, but the whole Philippines. From its humble beginnings, Julie’s Bakeshop continues to grow with over 300 varieties of baked products and 500 branches in the country.
